The purpose of this webinar is to review the Senior Program\, its requirements\, and how to maximize your summer. Come out and learn how Crosby Scholars will help guide you through the college admissions process\, FAFSA process\, and support you in making the BIG decision. \nTo help parents/guardians understand and support the Program’s role in the college admission process\, we encourage you to invite your parents/guardians to participate in the webinar as well. However\, a parent may not participate in the Mandatory Rising Senior webinar in place of a student. \nScholars must register in the Crosby portal to gain access to the Zoom meeting login. Then students must be sure to sign in on time and participate in the entire meeting. Attendance credit is awarded to scholars when they complete their Exit Survey at the end of the meeting. This is a program requirement. Juniors who do not meet this requirement will be dismissed and will not be eligible to participate in the Crosby Scholars Program during their senior year.

The purpose of this webinar is to review the Senior Program\, its requirements\, and how to maximize your summer. Come out and learn how Crosby Scholars will help guide you through the college admissions process\, FAFSA process\, and support you in making the BIG decision. \nTo help parents/guardians understand and support the Program’s role in the college admission process\, we encourage you to invite your parents/guardians to participate in the webinar as well. However\, a parent may not participate in the Mandatory Rising Senior webinar in place of a student. \nScholars must register in the Crosby portal to gain access to the Zoom meeting login. Then students must be sure to sign in on time and participate in the entire meeting. Attendance credit is awarded to scholars when they complete their Exit Survey at the end of the meeting. This is a program requirement. Juniors who do not meet this requirement will be dismissed and will not be eligible to participate in the Crosby Scholars Program during their senior year.

DESCRIPTION:Crosby Scholars is proud to offer a Medical Profession Symposium for students who are considering a degree and career in the healthcare or medical industry. \nStudents will learn about different programs and degrees offered at various regional colleges and universities. The symposium will include a brief panel to discuss various career paths based on their programs.  Representatives will then be available to answer questions and provide information. Come out and learn about the many career opportunities in the fields of Medical Assisting\, Nursing\, Pharmacy\, Dental Hygiene\, Physical Therapy and many more. \nEvent will be held at the Wallace Educational Forum Administrative Building (500 N. Main Street\, Salisbury\, NC)  on Tuesday\, March 3rd from 6:00-8:00pm. \n*Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend. \n**Academy credit will be given AND you will receive credit for College Fair/Tour requirement if you need it!!! \n

DESCRIPTION:6th Academy – 3 on 02/22/20\nEach Crosby Scholar is required to attend one Crosby Academy per school year.\nEach student at 6th Academy will participate in 2 workshops:\nLearning Styles…find out how you learn\nWords & Mindset…learn the power of your words \nLOCATION: \nRowan-Cabarrus Community College (North Campus – 600 Bldg)\n1333 Jake Alexander Boulevard South\, Salisbury\, NC \nAcademy will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm. Please eat before you arrive\, NO FOOD will be provided. \nFollow our signs on campus to Building 600 for student drop-off\, registration\, etc.  \nCheck-in from 9:30am-10:00am. \nYou must stay for the entire Academy and submit an attendance sheet in order to receive credit for this program requirement. \nThe event will conclude at 12:00noon. Please pick-up students promptly at the end of Academy. \n\nParents please note\, by allowing your student(s) to attend the Crosby Scholars Academy\, you are agreeing to the terms of the Parent Partnership Agreement located in your student’s portal. This agreement will remain in effect for the duration of your student’s participation in the program.  Should you not agree with these terms\, you are required to contact the Executive Director\,Jessica Vess\,  before allowing your student to attend the Crosby Scholars Academy. Once your student attends Academy\, the agreement is in effect until the student voluntarily withdraws from the program or does not fulfill a program requirement.

DESCRIPTION:Event: Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k benefitting Make-A-Wish \nWhere: First Ward Park \nDate: Saturday\, February 22nd \nTime: 5:30 am – 11:30 am \n\nVolunteer Responsibilities: Volunteers will be stationed at the Finish Line passing out medals to the race participants at the finish of their 15k race or (new this year) their 5k race. ALL runners receive medals this year! Before the race\, volunteers will prep all the medals for easy and quick distribution. 15k finishers will have a BROWN bib and 5k Finishers will have a BLUE bib that determines which medal they receive. \n\nWe welcome all volunteers over the age of 14!!
