Crosby Scholars Middle School Program
The Crosby Scholars Program helps middle school students explore their interests, build confidence, and grow as individuals, preparing them for success in high school and beyond. We provide resources, encouragement, and opportunities so students can dream big, discover their strengths, and start setting meaningful goals early.
Why Start in Middle School?
Middle school may seem early to start planning for college, but it’s the perfect time to begin developing the skills and habits that lead to lifelong success. During these years, students are learning responsibility, building confidence, and discovering their leadership potential.
By joining Crosby Scholars in middle school, students begin building a strong foundation for the future. Our program helps students:
- Develop leadership and character-building skills like responsibility, perseverance, and teamwork.
- Build positive habits that prepare them for the challenges of high school and beyond.
- Gain confidence through service, teamwork, and personal growth opportunities.
- Learn how to set goals, and take meaningful steps toward achieving them.
- Starting early gives students the tools, mindset, and support they need to become confident leaders and successful scholars in high school, college, or whatever path they choose after graduation.
Program Expectations
To remain an active Crosby Scholar, middle school students must:
- Attend at least one Crosby Academy each year.
- Complete a minimum of two hours of community service per year.
- Maintain good academic standing at their school.
Crosby Academies & Community Service
Crosby Academies are fun and interactive workshops designed to help students build confidence and real-world skills that prepare them for success. Academy sessions focus on topics like time management, goal setting, communication, building healthy relationships, career exploration, and how to prepare for high school.
Sign up for a Crosby Academy
Community Service is a required part of the Crosby Scholars Program. Each scholar must complete 2 hours per Academy year. Hours must be submitted using the Community Service Form. Examples include volunteering at a local food pantry, helping at a school event, or supporting a nonprofit organization.
You must submit your completed Community Service Form by May 1, 2026, to receive credit for the year. Activities such as chores, paid work, or team activities that only benefit you do not count as community service.
