Our Partnership with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina

In July 2012, Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, Inc. and The Crosby Scholars Community Partnership formed a strategic alliance that established Crosby Scholars as an independent affiliate of Goodwill.

With education serving as the foundation for meaningful employment, this partnership naturally combines two missions dedicated to opportunity and growth.

• Crosby Scholars works to remove barriers to college access, &
• Goodwill works to remove barriers to employment.

Rowan County Crosby Scholars launched in January 2013, enrolling 1,734 students in grades 6–10 during its first year. Iredell County Crosby Scholars followed in Fall 2015.

Both Rowan and Iredell programs operate as independent 501(c)(3) organizations, proudly affiliated with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina.

Together, we help students prepare for both college and career success. “For College. For Life.”
