Program Expectations for Seniors

To remain in good standing and be eligible for scholarships, seniors must complete the following:

  • Advising Meetings: Attend all scheduled one-on-one meetings with your Senior Advisor.
  • Crosby Academy: Participate in at least one Senior Academy during the year. Sign up for a Senior Academy .
  • Community Service: Complete a minimum of 2 hours of community service and submit your documentation by January 31, 2026.  Submit your Community Service Form.
  • Financial Aid (FAFSA): Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) and provide confirmation to Crosby Scholars. The FAFSA is required to be considered for most types of financial aid, including federal, state, and institutional funding. https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

Senior Advising

The summer before your senior year, you’ll be matched with a Senior Advisor who will guide you every step of the way.

  • One-on-one guidance: Your advisor will answer questions, help you plan, and keep you on track with important deadlines.
  • Expertise: All advisors hold at least a bachelor’s degree, come from diverse professional backgrounds, and are trained in college admissions and financial aid.
  • Support system: Each advisor is trained and supervised by the Senior Program Coordinator  to ensure you receive the highest level of support.

Last Dollar Grant (LDG)

The Last Dollar Grant is a need-based award up to $1,200 available only to Crosby Scholars who complete the program their senior year.

To be eligible to apply, a student must:

  • Have a cumulative weighted GPA of 2.0 or higher.
    • Students who graduate with below a 2.0 GPA may apply once their college cumulative GPA reaches 2.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
  • Enroll in a full-time, degree-seeking program after graduation.

Note: The Last Dollar Grant is need-based financial aid. Scholars must submit a FAFSA to be considered. If you are not eligible to complete the FAFSA, please contact our office directly for alternate instructions.

Crosby Scholars staff complete a need analysis for each applicant individually to determine eligibility.

Required Documents

  1. Acceptance Letter from the institution you will attend.
  2. Financial Aid Award Letter from that institution.
  3. FAFSA Submission Summary (formerly Student Aid Report/SAR).
    1. Current college students (sophomores, juniors, or seniors) should upload their latest college grade report instead of an acceptance letter.
