High School Program (Grades 9–11)
The Crosby Scholars Program supports students as they prepare for college, careers, and life after graduation. We help students stay focused on their goals, build strong academic and real-world skills, and explore opportunities that lead to future success. Whether you’re going to a four-year university, community college, enlisting in the military, or heading straight into the workforce, Crosby Scholars is here for you!
Why Crosby Scholars?
High school is a pivotal time in every student’s journey. From 9th through 12th grade, students are making important choices about academics, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.
Crosby Scholars guides students through these years by providing the tools, encouragement, and experiences that help them build confidence, stay motivated, and make informed decisions about their futures.
- By participating in Crosby Scholars, high school students:
- Receive guidance on academic success strategies.
- Build confidence and develop essential life and leadership skills.
- Explore career and college options through workshops, college tours, and events.
- Create a strong foundation for college applications, scholarships, and post-graduation plans.
Program Expectations (Grades 9–11)
- Academies: Attend at least one Crosby Academy each year. These workshops cover topics such as college readiness, financial literacy, goal setting, and career exploration. Sign up for a Crosby Academy here!
- Community Service: Complete a minimum of two hours of community service per year. Hours must be submitted through the official Community Service Form here. Please submit by May 1st, 2026 to receive credit.
- Academics: Stay in good academic standing with you school.

College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) – Apply to NC colleges, complete career assessments, and find financial aid resources
Residency Determination Service (RDS) – Complete your residency certification to qualify for in-state tuition and state grants
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – Apply for federal and state financial aid for college
Testing & Eligibility
American College Testing Program (ACT) – Register, prepare, and access test dates for the ACT
College Board (SAT) – Register, send scores, and find SAT prep tools
National Center for Fair and Open Testing (FairTest) – Learn about test-optional and test-flexible colleges
NCAA Eligibility Center – For student-athletes planning to play Division I or II college sports
