Volunteer Opportunity – Explore the Greenway 5K (Overton Elementary PTA)

Overton PTA is looking for energetic volunteers to help make this fun event a success!

Hotdog dinner free for all volunteers!

We need volunteers to help welcome runners and also to cheer participants on along the route.  Many participants will be ELEMENTARY AGED STUDENTS so volunteers can cheer, applaud, or run alongside them.  The 5K route begins at Knox Middle School and proceeds through the Greenway, Eagle Heights neighborhood and back to the Knox track for the finish line.  The “Monster 1/2 Mile” fun run is around the Knox track.  Being so close to Halloween this year, the Explore the Greenway 5K is advertising as “Spooky Edition” so costumes are welcome!

 Please note that the event is on a THURSDAY evening.
